Pleasant, Comfortable Conditions On The Way!!
Today, Thursday September 2nd, was my first recorded webcast of the school year. I am now in Practicum III (there are IV) and will be producing a weekly webcast every Thursday this semester. (Okay, so we are actually off next week for a graphics workshop.) Seniors in the broadcast meteorology program are the ones that keep content on http://campusconnectforecast.blogspot.com/ and I encourage you to log on every day to see the other (17?) seniors and their webcasts. Lots of great things are going on in the program!
I was fairly pleased with how today went. Weather Central graphics were being uncooperative today, so we were unable to use Futurecast and didn’t get to produce our show until later than expected; but nonetheless, mine and my partner’s (we work in pairs for an hour in the studio) webcasts turned out well. Our professor even bragged to the other Practicum III students that he enjoyed our graphic line-up the most out of everyone else’s this week! That was encouraging to here and has kept me motivated. I look forward to trying to set a very high bar every time I go in there. In everything I have ever done, I’ve always wanted to be the best, and in the TV business, that mindset is necessary. Enjoy!
